✨ Blog Title: "π✨ RE:Discovery – A Journey Back to Me πΏπ€️ "
This is a story about the day I stumbled upon my former self—and decided to bring them back.
It started with a box.
A dusty, half-forgotten cardboard box in my childhood home, unearthed while cleaning out the attic. Inside:
-
An old sketchbook
-
A Walkman
-
A short story I wrote at 12, complete with spelling mistakes and an ending I never finished.
I sat cross-legged, flipping through those pages, smiling at the reckless creativity, the rawness, the complete lack of fear in those lines.
That girl—who wrote stories about parallel worlds, who painted with her fingers, who thought anything was possible—she was me once.
But somewhere along the way, I traded her in for deadlines, doubt, and practicality.
And in that dusty attic, something clicked.
It wasn’t dramatic. No background music. Just a deep breath and a decision:
“I want her back.”
Since that day, I started writing again. Badly, messily, joyfully. I signed up for a painting class. I wear mismatched socks again. I say “yes” to more small adventures. Slowly, quietly, I’m rediscovering the parts of me that adulthood tried to file away.
π¬ Reflection:
Rediscovery doesn’t require a plane ticket or a crisis. Sometimes, it starts with a box, a memory, or a whisper from the past.
π What I’ve learned:
You don’t need to become someone else to be complete.
You just need to remember who you already are.
